The Management Department of the Environment and Water Agency (AMAyA) and the unions that are members of the negotiating table of the AMAyA collective agreement (UGT, CCOO, CGT and CSIF) have reached an agreement on Thursday 9 for the recognition of the figure of forest firefighter for the workers of the INFOCA device. According to the managing director of the Agency, Antonio Galán, the recognition is a great step for the workers, at the same time that he has highlighted that the advancement of the retirement age of the staff is a guarantee for the maintenance of the operability of the device. This agreement responds to the commitment made by the Minister for the Environment and Territorial Planning, José Fiscal, both in the Andalusian Parliament, and in the meeting held with union representatives last week.
