This Friday, March 12 at 11:15 a.m., the poster for the Asturforesta 2021 international forestry fair will be presented at the Tineo Forestry School.
The event was attended by the General Director of Rural and Forest Infrastructures of the Principality of Asturias, Fernando Prendes Fernández-Heres; the Mayor of Tineo, José Ramón Feito Lorences, and the councilor for forestry and director of Asturforesta 2021, Marcos Da Rocha Rodríguez.
Previously, at 11 am, the prize-giving ceremony for the Forest Fire Prevention Poster Contest organized by the School of Forestry will take place.
At 1:00 p.m., the management team of the forest fair will hold a telematic meeting with the Organizing Committee of Asturforesta 2021 to advance in the preparation of the program of activities for the event and in technical aspects of its organization.
The Asturforesta international forestry fair reaches its thirteenth edition in 2021 as the only international forestry fair held in Spain and as the representative of the Iberian Peninsula in the global network of forestry machinery demonstration fairs, the Forestry Demo Fairs, whose members are KWF, FinnMETKO, Euroforest, ElmiaWood and Asturforesta.
Asturforesta will take place from June 17 to 19 a few kilometers from the town of Tineo, on Mount Armayán, on a 45-hectare site of “pinaster” and “radiata” pine forest. Currently, the organization has confirmed the participation of 68% of the companies that attended the 2019 edition.
