ASTURFORESTA 2019

Mount Armayán is conditioned to host the Asturforesta international forestry fair.

The Tineo City Council is working on refurbishing the Mount Armayán site, which will host the twelfth edition of Asturforesta next June, a leading professional fair for the forestry sector in southern Europe.

This week the work to adapt one of the exhibition areas and the esplanade for catering services began. An existing 620-meter-long stretch of track is being conditioned to provide it with an 11-meter-wide esplanade that allows for the installation of stalls for exhibitors and comfortable circulation of the public, while in a space adjacent to the previous track, an area of 55 by 35 linear meters is available to allow the installation of cafeteria and restaurant services during the three days of the event.

The conditioning works of these spaces, which have an execution period of one month, involve tree cutting, earth moving, esplanade excavation and embankment creation. The investment amounts to 22,385 euros, VAT included.

The twelfth edition of the forestry and forest exploitation fair, Asturforesta, organized by the Tineo City Council with the collaboration of the Government of the Principality of Asturias; the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food; the professional associations of the sector in Asturias and the colleges of forestry engineers and technical forestry engineers in Spain, will take place between June 20 and 22 on Mount Armayán with the participation of companies dedicated to the entire cycle of cultivation, production and forest use of forests that represent more than 200 brands in the sector.
